Denomination: “Romeo“ Rosso Veronese IGT.
Grape Variety: 70% Corvina, 30% Rondinella.
Limited Edition: 5400 numerated bottles.
Alcoholic Strength: 16.5 % vol.
Grape Harvest: In the first 10 days of October, the grapes are picked by hand and placed in small plastic boxes for about 4 months in special dry and well-ventilated rooms called “fruttai“.
Vinification: In the end of January the grapes would have lost about 40-50% of the juice, from the start of the vinification. The maceration during about 20 days at 23-28 °C. The wine age is for 36 months in a big barrel of 35 French oak. After the bottling it ages for a minimum of 10 months in the bottle before being released.
Characteristics: Very important red wine; deep ruby red verging on garnet; intense fruity bouquet of cherry and dried plums with a floral aroma of dried flowers and a hint of sweet spices; smooth and captivating in the mouth; extremely elegant, full-bodied with a long finish.
Food Matches: Excellent with all kinds of entrecote, grilled and on the spit meat dishes.
Temperature: Serve at 20°-22°C.
