Vermentino, probably of Spanish origin, is one of the typical vines of Sardinia that has found its ideal terroir on the island; typical grape of the Tyrrhenian Sea, on this island reaches its maximum expression thanks to the granite and clay-poor soils and good temperature ranges, a terroir so favorable that it has now inextricably linked this vine to the specific region. In the DOC version proposed by Su Puddu, this Vermentino is a wine rich in aromas and delicate taste, intended for the most refined consumers.
Su Puddu Vermentino Di Sardegna is produced in stainless steel tanks to keep fruit flavours and aromas fresh. This example shows a mouthful of melon, lime, lemon and grapefruit zest balanced with vibrant acidity.
