Few wine styles are as universally beloved as Amarone. Bold, layered, powerfully expressed flavours, great depth and a luxurious, velvety mouthfeel have seen Amarone take its place alongside Barolo and Brunello as an iconic Italian expression.
Superb wine and pride of the Valpolicella Classica, it comes from a careful selection of grapes put to dry in the typical fruit for about four months. Meticulous control of the grapes during drying and the right aging of the wine between barriques and oak barrels of Slavonia develop complexity of aromas and flavours, to finish harmonizing in cement tanks. Elegant, soft and balanced, it is an expression of tradition, terroir and passion.
The Farina farm is one of the most historic companies in the Valpolicella Classica and currently manages 45 hectares of selected vineyards. The Farina family aspires to create noble wines that can enhance the grape variety and terroir by relying on the best technologies both in winemaking and in bottling. It can be said that the result was fully achieved as it is an increasingly successful reality in the area thanks to the excellence of its wines and the frantic search to improve from year to year.
This wine is a hymn to tradition and elegance, produced with a rigorous selection of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. At first glance, the wine presents itself with an intense ruby-red colour, enriched by garnet reflections. On the nose, you will be greeted by an ethereal and spicy bouquet, enriched by notes of cherry, blackberries, and figs, and a touch of cocoa and balsamic. In the mouth, the wine is a sensory experience: dry, warm, and velvety, with a structure that resembles the solemnity of a work of art.
